EMALAHLENI – Controversial businessman Sam ‘Mshengu’ Chabalala has issued a stern warning to his followers to never share their success stories on social media.
The embattled businessman from Mpumalanga has alleged that ‘jealous’ people have tried to kill him for his success in the business sector.
Mshengu recently made headlines when he was arrested for corruption, illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition, illegal entry, departing and remaining in the borders of South Africa, as well as giving false information so as to be allowed to enter the country.
Moreover, ‘Chabalala’ was hospitalized under police watch after he was arrested for charges including false citizenship and an attempt to bribe the Hawks with an amount of R40 0000.
In the wake of his arrest, the businessman was hospitalized owing to a stomach-related illness, but he has since revealed that someone tried to poison him in an attempt to kill him.
In an Instagram post, the businessman alleges that bitter people tried to poison his food whilst in police custody.
In addition, Mshengu also paid tribute to his employee at Sam Holdings, Nkosinathi Emmanuel Ngcongo who was killed in a suspected hit, with two shots confirmed to his chest, and one to his head, earlier this month.

It was alleged that two men were spotted entering the premises at around 6 pm and one of the suspects produced a firearm, then shot Ngcongo and disappeared.
However, an investigation by the police led to a 26-year-old man’s arrest on the same night as the police immediately launched an investigation.
Although many South Africans had never heard of the young millionaire, Mshengu rose to prominence when he led a convoy of flashy cars that travelled to the Durban July this year.
Having claimed that he was born in Makwarela, Venda, Mshengu is reportedly a Zimbabwean national but the Witbank Magistrate Court is set to discover the truth as he is set to appear in court on November 22.
