Minnie’s gloomy anniversary
TV personality Minnie Dlamini is celebrating her second wedding anniversary.
Minnie and Quinton tied the knot in 2017. Months later fans witnessed the celebrations in their self produced reality documentary, “Becoming Mrs Jones”. Minnie dazzled in a white wedding dress enveloped in Swarovski crystals, designed by Gert Johan Coetzee. Sharing a message on Instagram on Monday, Minnie wished her husband, Quinton, a happy anniversary.
The star went on to mention how grateful she was to have Quinton by her side, calling the past few days “the darkest” of her life.
A wedding anniversary is supposed to be jolly and happiest moments in life, where mostly romantic sessions of memories are endless.
But due to life being unpredictable, major dates such as various anniversaries and birthdays could bring out less joy and happiness to a couple.
One of South Africa‘s most loved couple, Minnie Dlamini – Jones and Quinton Jones made it to the one year mark as a married couple. Instead of largely experiencing that feel-good vibe for their nuptial anniversary – a dark cloud is currently enveloping and hovering over the Jones and Dlamini clans.
Minnie’s younger brother, Khosini Dlamini is currently fighting for his life in hospital after being admitted as a result of an alleged aneurysm (weakening of an artery wall that creates a bulge of the artery) episode.
The sports presenter took to Instagram and posted a short but heartwarming caption, whereby she thanked her husband for being there for her in trying and sombre times.
“Happy Anniversary my love ❤ These are the darkest days of my life but having you by sideshows me that God still has my back. Ngikuthanda ngempilo yami yonke #TheJoneses 💎”
Connie_Ferguson: ”Strength to you and your family my beauty and Happy Anniversary!💐❤️”
Zintathu: ”Jlo and A-Rod channel you !!!! Hope you are keeping your chin up. Will come to see you today. Love you and happy anniversary”
DJ_Cndo: ”Praying for you and your family 🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️”
Before their current dark cloud in their lives, the Jones’s have enjoyed some pretty happy and solid moments as a married couple.
In a recent interview with Independent Media’s Sunday Tribune, Minnie spoke of her start off days as a TV personality.
“I broke into the industry at the age of 19. In the year that I was turning 21, I got a major endorsement deal with LEGiT and that was where I made my first million. It, literally, changed my life. It was then that I understood the importance of being more than just a TV presenter. I won’t lie, I signed a very painful deal. It was a time when I had nothing and again, you learn through experience. So in terms of what I made, I could have definitely made a lot more. A lot of people took away a lot of money from that deal. Nonetheless, I was a millionaire. I think about six months later, I was back to being flat broke.” she said.
Minnie revealed that she will be starring in her first feature film in 2020, which she will also be co-producing.
“It is in the development stages at the moment, but I will be starring in my first feature film next year. What’s even more exciting is that I will be co-producing it. That’s what’s really cool. I am working with incredible females on this project. It’s pretty much a female produced movie, but I do not want to jump the gun,” said Dlamini-Jones.
